Automatically map SharePoint shares and Automatically sign into OneDrive

You want to setup an Microsoft 365 Tenant so that Azure Joined end users are silently logged into OneDrive, their profile folders are automatically backed up to OneDrive and important SharePoint Document libraries are automatically synced with their OneDrive profile.

Use Micrsooft Intune Endpoint Manager
This requires that at least one end user with Global Admin rights has at least a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license or higher tiered license as opposed to a Microsoft 365 Business Basic (formerly Office 365 Business Premium) or less tiered license on the 365 Tenant.
You must setup a Device Configuration Policy at https://devicemanagement.microsoft.com while logged into the Office 365 tenant.

  1. Go to https://devicemanagement.microsoft.com
  2. Go to Devices
  3. Go to Configuration Profiles
  4. Click on "Create Profile"
  5. Choose Windows 10 and later for the Platform.
  6. Choose Administrative Templates for the Profile.
  7. Click Create
  8. Give your profile a friendly name, usually just the name of the organization for the base device configuration profile.
  9. Expand Computer Configuration and select All Settings
  10. Search for the keyword "OneDrive"
  11. Select "Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync client with their Windows Credentials" and click Enabled and click the OK button
  12. Select "Silently move Windows known folders to OneDrive" and click Enabled, copy and past the Office 365 tenant ID into the ID field and select Yes to notify after move. You can acquire the Tenant ID from the Azure dashboard under properties.
  13. Expand the User Configuration and select All Settings
  14. Again, do a search for "OneDrive"
  15. Select "Configure team site libraries to sync automatically" click on enabled and follow the instructions to configure correctly.
  16. Include All Users and All Groups for the profile
You will need to deploy Intune to all endpoints you wish this policy to take effect on. This may require a Global Administrator with a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license on the tenant to accomplish.

Note that this policy will take effect on all end users in the tenant and all Azure joined devices, even if just the one Global Administrator is licensed with a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license.
